2. What is the idea behind bulletfilm?
Bulletfilm.com has been created for filmmakers and artists who make great films and other visual art works but have no way of getting into traditional distribution but still would like other's to see their work. Bulletfilm.com is created for both filmmakers/artists and audience who is looking for
alternative to mainstream art work and mainstream cinema. Bulletfilm.com participates in introducing filmmakers/artists to each other who could cooperate in the future projects together.
3. What does joining bulletfilm.com give you?

4. After uploading, is the film still mine or does it belong to bulletfilm.com?
The film belongs to the user, however bulletfilm.com ensures itself the rights to use it within the
service and to promote it using different kinds of media.
5. Who stands behind www.bulletfilm.com?
www.bulletfilm.com is a project run on daily basis by two people. Magda is a creative brain and is responsible for a development of the site and Marek tries to keep everything together money wise.
Since we run it on our own, any kind of contribution towards Bulletfilm Premium is very, very much
appreciated.
6. How can I promote my work?
Well, first of all you need to create your account. I would really advise all of you to make your profile as detailed as possible to make it more attractive and legible. Write about your work on your blog and forum.
Besides, we share information about each profile created and every film uploaded on our twitter
and facebook page.
Send link to your work to all the people you know or create business card and use it as your online business card.
Create a webpage for your film using our film websites tool.
Sell your film or any film related product in our Film Market place.
Write about your film or any film related event in our News section.
7. What is filmmaking section?
Under filmmaking tab you will be able to find interviews with filmmakers, articles about filmmaking (filmmaking tips, premium articles, actor-director relationship, focus, tribute), downloadable and ready to use production documents, bunch of websites you might find useful during your next production as well as a list of film schools from around the world.
8. What is “ My bulletfilm” tab for?
“My bulletfilm” is your account’s administration panel where you will find all the tools you need to administrate your account: account summary, films uploaded & your favourite films, your profile which can be updated anytime, mailbox, blog and list of friends.
9. What is the “Events” tab?
The “Events” tab consists of Film Festivals where you can find all the most important information
about over 2500 festivals from around the word (the pages are updated daily); Live Channel, which we use for live coverage of biggest film events; and News section, which is also updated daily.
10. What is the “Community“ tab?
In the “Community” tab you will be able to find all the information about our bulletfilm.com
community. So if you want to check other bulletfilm users or see links of friendly websites, you
go there. If you feel like sharing some information about your work, use blog or forum.
If you want to sell your films or ideas, use Film Market, which works like any other film market but it’s virtual. Business cards help you create online business card, which you can email to different
people you consider important for your work or career.
11. What do I find in the “Films” tab?
Under this tab you obviously find films ;)). Recently uploaded films, hottest, top rated and the most frequently viewed films. Also in this tab you will be able to watch films we promote as well as film websites which users can create for their films, not having to buy a server and a domain name.
PREMIUM SECTION
1. What is Premium section and how much does it cost?
Bulletfilm Premium is the paid section of www.bulletfilm.com. You can go premium anytime and
your financial contribution will help us to run bulletfilm day by day.
It costs £3.99 a month or £29.99 a year. The first week of your premium membership is free of
charge so you can try what it tastes like.
2. What is the “Film websites”?
Film websites is just like a website for your film but instead of buying a domain name and a server you can use this feature as a bulletfilm premium member. You will be able to link your trailer,
add pictures, screening information etc.
3. What does ”Products” mean?
In this feature you will find all the products that you are trying to sell at the Film Market. Anything film related will do.
4. What do I find amongst premium documents?
In premium documents section you will be able to find contracts, agreements on film co-productions between various countries as well as film tax credits in various countries, budgets and letters samples.
5. How do I use business card?
Our bulletfilm.com virtual business card works just like any paper one but it is more environmental friendly because it is online ;)) which makes it easier to send it to various important people in the industry. Our business card is visual and you are part of visual arts.
6. What is “Websites”?
Websites is the place where you can add your company’s or film’s website and it will come out in
our Useful websites section. Add your website and describe what your company is doing, you will
be easier to find.
7. What is “News” submission?
As a premium member you can co-create news section with us what means that if you have
anything to share you consider interesting and/or important or if you are looking for someone
or something you can publish it in our News section.
8. What else do I get if I become premium member?
You can create your own discussion groups, read premium articles about filmmaking and
filmmakers. If you run a film festival, you can also manage your festival’s bulletfilm page and
keep the festival information updated.
FILM FESTIVALS
1. How can I submit my festival?
You can either email us http://www.bulletfilm.com/contact-us and send us a request to add your
festival to our listing or use easier way and become a Premium member. Than you can not only add
your festival to our listing by yourself but also manage your festival’s bulletfilm page.
2. Can I manage my festival’s page?
Yes, you can. But to be able to do it you need to become a Premium member.
3. How much does it cost to go premium for festivals?
It costs the same as any other premium account that is: £3.99 a month or £29.99 a year.
4. What can I do once I’m managing my festival’s account?
You can manage your festival’s bulletfilm page by adding or correcting existing information,
deadlines, awards etc. You can add information about submission to our News section, you can
create discussion group regarding your festival or film that is going to be screened at your festival.
5. Are the film festivals pages updated on regular basis?
Yes, the festival’s pages are updated on regular basis. However it’s a bit slow process since the
whole www.bulletfilm.com is run by only two people.
6. What can I find on bulletfilm festival’s page?
You can find all the information we find relevant while submitting your film to a festival such as:
deadlines and fees, categories, time and location of the festival (we also attached little map),
submission and screening formats, the festival’s website and contact email to the festival,
short description of the festival and awards.
SIGNING UP
1. How do I join?
To join, you need to read carefully terms and conditions and fill out the registration form that
follows terms and conditions.(Also look up ABOUT US for more information)
2. Do I get email and password confirmation?
Once you join you will have your own account and unique password (we recommend not to show to anyone) but you don't get any confirmation email.
3. What do I do if there is any problem with my password or user name?
Try to reset your password first. However if there is still a problem we recommend you contact us and we will deal with it as soon as we can.
4. Do I have to create an account?
You don’t have to create an account to have a look at bulletfilm.com and watch films. However if
you want to upload your short films, music videos, trailers, show reels, art installations,
experimental videos or read articles or take advantage of our down-loadable ready to use
production documents you will need account.
5. Do I have to be a member to use bulletfilm?
If you want to be able to use all of bulletfilm.com many features you will have to be a member. If you just want to watch films you don’t have to join bulletfilm.com.
6. Do I have to be a filmmaker to use bulletfilm?
You don’t have to be a filmmaker to join the bulletfilm community.
BASIC TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR USERS:

1. Conditions for storing the films
You can store on your account as many films as you wish. For technical reasons a single file in
production format (before conversion) cannot be larger than 110 MB or 250 MB for bulletfilm
premium users.
2. Conditions for converting the films
Correct conversion of an AVI, MOV, MPG and MPEG format of the source file is guaranteed provided
that codecs supported by FFMPEG program are used in these formats.
The website also supports other source formats (e.g. FLV, 3GP) but it does not guarantee
completely correct conversion of these formats to production format.
The specification of supported formats/codecs may be amended without notice if another version of the conversion software is installed.
Our window player is of size 450x338 pixels so if you convert your file, try fitting it to that size,
either enlarge it or diminish.
3. Access to the website
Access to the website will be possible for PC / MAC computers with the possibility of searching the
Internet with the use of one of the following browsers:
----- Internet Explorer 6.x, 7.x
----- Mozilla Firefox 1.5, 2.x
----- Opera 8.x, 9.x
It is required to install Flash Player Ver. >= 7 into your browser.
Pay attention that the minimum required Internet connection speed for viewing the films is equal to
56kbps. The recommended connection speed for comfortable viewing of films is equal to 512kbps.
