The Myrtle Beach International Film Festival / Dalton Pictures continues to become a larger player in the theatrical distribution and independent film market and much of what is distributed through major cinema chains comes through the MBIFF. DPEC runs the Independent Film Series with Carmike Cinema allowing independent films to screen nationwide at select theaters. DPEC also works with other theaters placing film, DVD distribution, web and television to open distribution paths allowing independent work a venue throughout the world. The MBIFF screens projects in a multi-million dollar theater, housing state of the art technology.
