"Two People"

Synopsis

The two main characters, Maggie and Patrick, met 10 years ago while at university. While at University they would bump into each other on numerous occasions despite the fact that they didn’t study the same subject or even share many of the same friends. They even had a little thing going on but Maggie pulled away to prevent herself from falling for Patrick.

After graduating they didn’t see each other for years until one evening they end up in the same bar. After spending a romantic night with Maggie, Patrick believes that the two of them are going to finally be together for real. However for Maggie it was just night full of passion and pulls away once again.

Maggie is trying to get her life back together after the ordeal she has been through recently. She was married and had twins, a boy and a girl. Sadly her daughter died in a fire while her husband was having sex with another woman and left the kids’ home alone.

Patrick’s life revolves around work. He is a very successful executive in a huge corporation. As he had been unable to get the thoughts of Maggie out of his mind, despite the passing years, he embarked upon a series of meaningless relationships.

Maggie is a very well known journalist who is concerned with social issues. Maggie’s working life is at it’s peek with her book being published, as well as the offer to go to Rwanda and write about the changes that are taking place in the country.

Patrick doesn’t give up his quest for Maggie. Faith is on his side and it seems that the universe is conspiring for them to be together. They often cross each other’s paths or end up at the same place together at the same time.
