This music video is the culmination of a workshop, organised by Mew Productions and sponsored by a Haringey charitable organisation (the same who helped people such as Leona Lewis and Chipmunk along the way) that aimed at teaching less fortunate kids new skills in film making.
The band - 3 urban/pop/grime rappers - have also been taking part in a music workshop for the same charity with incredible results.
The track is catchy (Chipmunk meets N.E.R.D.S.), with no reference to either sexual or violent themes, positive uplifting tune regarding the power of... sneakers! and we can send you an mp3 if and when interested.
The video will be shot at a well known Chroma key studio in Camberwell and both the music track and the video will be heavily advertised on several music channels in order to promote the charity itself. We are also in talks with few radio stations to help us promote the track soon.
We think this would be a great opportunity to help us give these kids inspirations and aspirations! Also teach them what a professional environment is all about when it comes to shooting a music video and take things to the next level!
We are looking for a few positions to be filled - the video will be filmed on the 13th of March - as follows:
- assistant director
- Hair and Make-up
- models/dancers (young looking to meet the target audience of 15 to 25 years old max)
- cameraman/dop with own camera (possibly HD but not set in stone)
- 2nd camera unit (to record the making of the video)
- editor
- graphic artist with CGI and Chroma key compositing experience
- set photographer
The project obviously is a 'no-budget' therefore expenses only will be given to the participants, but we will provide a DVD copy of the video when finished and invite to the first gig as VIP's.
Email a current CV/links to samples of your work/photo or anything else to info@mewproductions.com
In the meantime, please visit www.youtube.com/mewproductions to have a look at the other finished product from the same course, the official video for the finals of Olympic selections, Street Athletics, in Manchester last autumn.
We're hoping to hear from many of you!
