Festival Assistant: Northern Lights Film Festival, Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £14,000. Fixed Term Contract: 1 September 2008 - 28 August 2009. The North East's key film festival is transforming. Over the next three years Northern Lights Film Festival will grow in size and
significance. It has outgrown its Northern European remit, and will expand to screen the best new works of the most exciting new filmmakers from around the world. It will also continue to provide opportunities for the film industry, and will launch a raft of international awards for the first time.
In order to do this the festival team must grow, and NLFF would like to offer a unique opportunity for an exceptional recent graduate to work as an Assistant on NLFF 2008, and to assist in the planning of NLFF 2009. This is the perfect prospect for someone wanting to further their career in the cultural sector, in film exhibition and events in particular. Please note that this placement can only be given to a candidate who has graduated (undergraduate or postgraduate degree) within the last 2 years.
