22nd Leeds International Film Festival
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
4 - 16 November 2008 Leeds International Film Festival has changed its volunteer structure.
We are now looking for 2 small dedicated teams to make up the below
positions, whilst maintaining our core group of volunteers, which make
up our Screening Assistants. We will be advertising for Screening
Assistants in the next few weeks!
Leeds International Film Festival is now seeking Digital Media
volunteers and Marketing & Events volunteers to assist during the Film
Festival, which takes place from the 4-16 November 2008. This is an
excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in working within
the film industry to gain experience and meet new and like-minded
people.
Position 1: Digital Media Volunteers
The Film Festival is looking for applicants who have skills in either
photography, filming or editing. The role will involve recording and
editing key events to be reguarly uploaded onto the festival website,
whilst providing the Film Festival team with general technical support.
Tasks will include filming Q&A sessions, guest interviews, special
events and supporting projectionists at screeening venues. Applicants
will ideally have access to their own camera or video equipment and
will be able to work a minimum of 6 shifts over the 13 days.
Position 2: Marketing & Event Volunteers
The Role:
- Manage distribution of Festival Guide, Catalogue, Posters and Flyers.
- Ensure Film Festival promotional material maintained and updated
throughout the venues.
- Work closely with venue coordinator to ensure all venues are neatly
presented.
- Manage Film Festival centre and deal with customer enquiries.
- Support staff in preparing venues for special events.
This role will require applicants to be available to work between the
1st of October to the 16th of November. Volunteers will be expected to
work a minimum of 10 shifts, which will include evening and weekend
work.
